What is static electricity? (Like in lightening) For this experiment, you need a balloon. Inflate it and tie it up. Ask your child to rub the balloon in his\/her hair several times. What happens? It produces friction<\/strong>. First your child\u2019s hair stands up. It is thus charged as well as the balloon that can stick to the wall by itself!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

if your child has a journal, have your child make a drawing of the experiment that you can label and date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I would recommend to view it several times to commit the story to your child\u2019s memory. Then, turn down the sound and have your child \u201cpretend read\u201d the book from memory.
