Once tallied or counted, show your child the appropriate number card or write the number down to show your child. The numbers of the tallies will be different every day and you can also change the counters. Extend the concept by comparing numbers: which has more? Which has less? Which are the same?

As an extension, you can break down the number of counters into smaller amounts in groups (For a group of 5 counters, A group of 3 and a group of 2, and see with your child which one is bigger or smaller; or a group of 1 and a group of 4 counters) and then put the counters/groups back together. Do we still have the same total amount of counters or did it change?

Art

If you have different rolls of Color tape, I would encourage your child to cut pieces with hands or scissors and let your child create without directions.

For this art project, you need (1) sponges of different shapes and texture, (2) paper, and (3) paint. Let your child explore sponge print in different color paint. After, your child’s work of art is done, ask your child to describe the art and label the painting.

Small Motor Skills

Bongos Are Fun Page https://twistynoodle.com/bongos-are-fun-coloring-page/

Fun with Line Tracing Page https://twistynoodle.com/fun-with-line-tracing-coloring-page/

Bike Cutting Practice Page https://twistynoodle.com/bike-cutting-practice-coloring-page/

Gross Motor Skills

Outside time with climbing, jumping, bicycling, running, walking are great ways to develop the whole child.

Jump by Patty Shukla https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcQJDpj5TSY

Shalom!
