Here is a picture: http://cdn.lwtears.com/images/uploads/1_787_large.png

Once you have your wood pieces, we will first get your child familiar with them with games:
1. Call your wooden pieces and ask to trade for another piece. You might ask “May I have the Little Line, please?

2. Wood pieces in a bag: your child reaches into the bag and tell you what they feel. For fun, you might want to add a spoon!

3. Wood pieces in the box: your child can look for matching pieces

4. Body parts and positions with wood pieces: your child moves lines like you do. Big line under my arm, over my arm,….

5. Circles and curves: your child can build a circle and tell you what a curve reminds your child of (a rainbow, a smile,…)

6. Let your child use the lines to show you different capital letters.

Also allow your child to explore them. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlHhUksecZk

We can continue with My First Book, turn to page 20, 21 and 22 and have your child aim and trace.
