Let\u2019s sing together our song \u201cRise and Shine &#8211; Welcome to School Today\u201d by Dr. Jean <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=jyAD2OoFuoY\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=jyAD2OoFuoY<\/a> and our greeting song \u201cHello to all the children of the world\u201d: <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=2nYjGy_ZUG8\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=2nYjGy_ZUG8<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I realize that you might have to survey other members of your family for the <strong>question of the day<\/strong> so that your child have enough tally marks to count or have your child put more than one tally mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>How many siblings do you have?<br>0         1            2              3             MORE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the writing\/reading process,<\/strong> have your child trace or copy (advanced skill) <strong>daily<\/strong> his\/her name on paper\/dry eraser board\/ mini blackboard (kindergarten handwriting page), either in all uppercase letters or just first letter in uppercase and the rest in lowercase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have <strong>My First School Book <\/strong>from <strong>Handwriting Without Tears<\/strong> methodology <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lwtears.com\/hwt\">https:\/\/www.lwtears.com\/hwt<\/a>, we will use it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to start learning letters, your child will need a <strong>set of big curves, little curves, big lines and little lines in wood.<\/strong> You can purchase them at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lwtears.com\">https:\/\/www.lwtears.com<\/a> or make them your self. You need <strong>extra pieces<\/strong>: a rectangular body (paper), a nose, two eyes and two hands. With the song, a parent <strong>draws<\/strong> each part and invite your child to do the same looking at the parent drawing. At the end of Map Man, have your child add details to the drawing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is also Page <strong>76<\/strong> in your <strong>My First Book.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Science<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On the tune of \u201cClementine\u201d, we can sing: <strong>what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather like today? Is it cloudy, is it rainy, is it sunny, is it cold?<\/strong> (You can also change the weather words).<br>Let your child check the weather and tell you about it. You might want to ask your child to do a weather drawing that you can label. Some activities will be repetitive to create a routine that brings comfort to your child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Language Arts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">When the Relatives Came<\/span> by Cynthia Ryland <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=oKqAblcwFOA\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=oKqAblcwFOA<\/a>       After viewing the book, help your child to <strong>sequence<\/strong> the story: what happened first, next, what did the relatives do, how did the story end? Once tallied or counted, show your child the appropriate number card or write the number down to show your child. The numbers of the tallies will be different every day and you can also change the counters. Extend the concept by comparing numbers: <strong>which has more? Which has fewer? Which are the same?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>calendar<\/strong> is a <strong>daily<\/strong> activity to do with your child that develop number and pattern recognition. Have your child color a popsicle stick for each member of your family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Have your child glue googly eyes and other material on each stick.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your child is now ready to make the sticks talk and put up a show for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this <strong>Cardboard Tube Family Craft<\/strong>, you need (1) cardboard tubes, (2) paint, (3) paintbrushes, (4) googly eyes, (5) yarn, (6) scissors, (7) glue, and (8) marker. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fantasticfunandlearning.com\/cardboard-tube-family-craft.html\">https:\/\/www.fantasticfunandlearning.com\/cardboard-tube-family-craft.html<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Directions:<br>1. cut the toilet paper roll to size for each member;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2. Have your child paint half with the color of choice for each member of your family;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3. Glue eyes and draw a face; and<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.
