After listening to the story, help your child to retell the story using lots of L words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the week, have your child explore the big yogurt <strong>container with a lid filled with small objects or pictures that start with the letter L<\/strong> (lemon, lettuce, lentils, lion, lizard, leaf, leg letter). You might want to add a picture of an apple, so that your child can say that apple does not start with L! Is it cloudy, is it rainy, is it sunny, is it cold?<\/strong> (You can also change the weather words).<br>Let your child check the weather and tell you about it. You might want to ask your child to do a weather drawing that you can label. For this project, you need strips of colored paper and a stapler. Every time, your child or a member of your family does a kind act (give a hug, help with dishes, pick up sibling\u2019s toys, share a toy,&#8230;), write it down on a strip of paper and staple both ends together to make a loop. Attach a new loop with every new kind act. (5, 4, 3, 2, 1 little friend and then zero little friend)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Math<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your child has done a lot of counting so far and learned to associate an amount to a number. If you have a deck of cards, you can play a <strong>game of war<\/strong>. You will need to take out all the kings, queens and jacks. <strong>Rules<\/strong>: shuffle The deck of cards and deal the entire&nbsp;deck&nbsp;to 2 players. Make sure to keep the&nbsp;cards&nbsp;face-down. Next, count to 3, and have both players flip their top&nbsp;card. The player with the highest&nbsp;Number card&nbsp;wins the round and takes both&nbsp;cards. If you flip the same value&nbsp;card, then you go flip another card on top and compare. The highest number card wins!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>calendar<\/strong> is a <strong>daily<\/strong> activity to do with your child that develop number and pattern recognition. Here is the link to print a calendar to update daily with your child. The numbers of the tallies will be different every day. Extend the concept by comparing numbers: <strong>which has more? Which has fewer?
