Spring is here to stay and the farm is bustling with activity. The farmer is planting different varieties of crops and taking care of all animals: old and new. Here is a fun song to sing: \u201cOld McDonald had a farm\u201d. https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=k5U7VqUs_2s<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Science<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For this experiment, you need (1) shallow dish, (2) milk, (3) food coloring, and (4) Q-tips.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour the milk in the dish and drop some food coloring drops in the milk. Give your child the Q-tip to your child and ask to twirl the Q-tip in the milk. What happens?
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your child has a journal, ask her\/him to make a drawing that you can date and label.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Language Arts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For this Old McDonald Farm – Math sorting, reading a pattern Activity, you need (1) https:\/\/www.themailbox.com\/magazines\/math-idea-sorting-reading-a-pattern\/old-macdonald-s-farm<\/a>, (2) scissors, and (3) crayons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can also use these cards (1) or toy farm animals (2) in memory games. With cards, print animals twice to have pairs. (1) Cut cards and put them face down. Have your child turn over 2 cards and try to have a matching pair. (2) choose 5 toy farm animals and cover them with a blanket. Take one out without your child seeing it, uncover all toy animals and ask your child to name which one is missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Art<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For this art project, you need (1) glue, (2) scissors, (3) stapler, (4) red and white construction paper, and (5) black marker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cut the barn out of red and white construction paper. Then, cut the window and the door in the red construction paper and use the marker to draw an X on both. Help your child to staple both papers together. Have your child color, cut and glue the animals inside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
