Have your child first trace the letter(s) you wrote with one finger. Writing letter e <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=aSy7nw4qWik\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=aSy7nw4qWik<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A whole week activity<\/strong>:<br>For the <strong>phonetic<\/strong> part, have a big yogurt container with a lid filled with small objects or pictures that start with the letter E (Elephant, egg, enveloppe, exit, elbow). You might want to add a picture of a cat, so that your child can say that cat does not start with E! Here is a book of E word pictures <a href=\"https:\/\/twistynoodle.com\/my-e-e-book-3-minibook\/\">https:\/\/twistynoodle.com\/my-e-e-book-3-minibook\/<\/a> Also, you can add new objects\/pictures starting with the letter E every day and let your child explore the container all through the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Science<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During a doctor\u2019s visit, the first stop the nurse brings you to is the <strong>weight<\/strong> station for you or your child. If you have a <strong>scale<\/strong> available, weigh yourself, your child and other members of your family and compare numbers. Your child can also weigh other things in the house: a teddy bear, a block construction, shoes, a stack of books,&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the tune of \u201cClementine\u201d, we can sing: <strong>what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather like today? Is it cloudy, is it rainy, is it sunny, is it cold?<\/strong> (You can also change the weather words).<br>Let your child check the weather and tell you about it. You might want to ask your child to do a weather drawing that you can label. Here is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Mouse Shapes<\/span> by Ellen Stoll Walsh <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=HrNvjDzll9E\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=HrNvjDzll9E<\/a> <strong>Have squares, rectangles, ovals, diamonds, triangles and circles big and small out of construction paper<\/strong> with which your child can build what the mice show in the book. After viewing the book, allow also your child to explore with shapes (Recyclables, blocks, duplos,&#8230;)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>calendar<\/strong> is a <strong>daily<\/strong> activity to do with your child that develop number and pattern recognition. Here is the link to print a calendar to update daily with your child. The set has a weather component, if you like.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.themailbox.com\/magazines\/september-calendar-setbr4-pages\/september-calendar-set-3\"> https:\/\/www.themailbox.com\/magazines\/october-calendar-setbr4-pages\/october-calendar-set-3<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Daily counting of <strong>tally marks<\/strong> and show your child a number card or write the number down to show your child. The numbers of the tallies will be different every day. Extend the concept by comparing numbers: <strong>which has more? Which has fewer? Which are the same?<\/strong> <strong>How many more (count with fingers)?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Art<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For the simple <strong>Stethoscope Art Project<\/strong>, you need (1) 3 pipe cleaners or 1 and 1 plastic headband, (2) beads, (3) 1 large button or bottle cap with a hole in the middle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instructions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Twist 3 pipe cleaners together at one end: 2 will be the ear tubes going at the end over each ear and 1 tube to the chest piece, which is the big button or bottle cap attached at the end.
