Have your child complete <strong>pages 27-28<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A whole week activity<\/strong>:<br>For the <strong>phonetic<\/strong> part, have a big yogurt container with a lid filled with small objects or pictures that start with the letter E (Elephant, egg, enveloppe, exit, elbow). You might want to add a picture of a puppy, so that your child can say that puppy does not start with E! Today, your child can do an advanced experiment with family members to explain why your child see different parts of the moon in the sky each day. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpl.nasa.gov\/edu\/teach\/activity\/moon-phases\/\">https:\/\/www.jpl.nasa.gov\/edu\/teach\/activity\/moon-phases\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the tune of \u201cOh, my Darling Clementine\u201d, we can sing: <strong>what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather like today? Is it cloudy, is it rainy, is it sunny, is it cold?<\/strong> (You can also change the weather words).<br>Let your child check the weather and tell you about it. You might want to ask your child to do a weather drawing that you can label. Some activities will be repetitive to create a routine that brings comfort to your child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Language Arts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Pete the Cat collection of books is a favorite to preschoolers. Here is <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Pete the Cat The Wheels on the Bus<\/span> by James Dean. This book gives us an opportunity to talk about position words. You can find them at Amazon and other stores. You can also start introducing these 3D-shapes while playing with blocks or recyclables: sphere, cube, (rectangular)prism, cylinder, cone and (square) pyramid. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>calendar<\/strong> is a <strong>daily<\/strong> activity to do with your child that develop number and pattern recognition. Here is the link to print a calendar to update daily with your child. The numbers of the tallies will be different every day. Extend the concept by comparing numbers: <strong>which has more? Which has fewer? Which are the same?<\/strong> <strong>How many more (count with fingers)?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Art<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Today is <strong>Free Watercolor Painting<\/strong>. You need paper, watercolor and a brush. Encourage your child to describe the painting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this <strong>STEAM Project<\/strong>, you need (1) recyclables, (2) piece of cardboard as a base, and (3) colored tapes.
