Have your child first trace the letter(s) you wrote with one finger. Lowercase h writing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LaIu46w8bdA\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=LaIu46w8bdA<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A whole week activity<\/strong>:<br>For the <strong>phonetic<\/strong> part, have a big yogurt container with a lid filled with small objects or pictures that start with the letter H (hair, heart, helicopter, horse, hat.) You might want to add a picture of a kitty, so that your child can say that kitty does not start with H! Here is a book of H word pictures <a href=\"https:\/\/twistynoodle.com\/h-is-for-house-2-minibook\/\">https:\/\/twistynoodle.com\/h-is-for-house-2-minibook\/<\/a> Also, you can add new objects\/pictures starting with the letter H every day and let your child explore the container all through the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Science <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>What would prevent your child from seeing the moon? <strong>Clouds<\/strong>? Eric Carle wrote <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Little Cloud<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=jWVwkdL98Rs\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=jWVwkdL98Rs<\/a> <br>After viewing the book, discuss with your child the clouds he sees in the sky. For this <strong>project<\/strong> of reproducing clouds,  you need (1) big sheet of blue construction paper, (2) cotton balls, (3) glue and (4) cards print out <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pinayhomeschooler.com\/2012\/04\/clouds-for-preschoolers-free.html\">https:\/\/www.pinayhomeschooler.com\/2012\/04\/clouds-for-preschoolers-free.html<\/a> <br>After you print cloud  cards, have your child glue the cards on the upper-half of your blue construction paper and have your child put glue on paper and reproduce the type of cloud on the lower-half shaping cotton balls. You and your child can make as many or as few as you want.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Remember the <strong>cycle of seasons<\/strong> we reviewed earlier. We repeated the names of all seasons with a simple <strong>movement<\/strong>. Have your child make a big circle in the air with their arm. At each quarter, have your child repeat a season (fall or autumn, winter, spring and summer.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the tune of \u201cOh, my Darling Clementine\u201d, we can sing: <strong>what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather like today? Is it cloudy, is it rainy, is it sunny, is it cold?<\/strong> (You can also change the weather words).<br>Let your child check the weather and tell you about it. You might want to ask your child to do a weather drawing that you can label. Some activities will be repetitive to create a routine that brings comfort to your child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Language Arts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>How do clouds move? clouds are pushed by the &#8230;&#8230; <strong>wind<\/strong>! <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">When the Wind Blew<\/span> by Pat Hutchins <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6bDX7hPnof8\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6bDX7hPnof8<\/a> While viewing the book,  Use tally marks for all the things the wind picks up. Then, help your child to enumerate all things that the wind picked up. (Instead of  \u201cswing and sway\u201d you can use \u201cclose the door\u201d,&#8230;)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Math<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Shape <strong>Song Singalong <\/strong>by Barefoot Book <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Umu58RxNL7I\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Umu58RxNL7I<\/a> This song will encourage your child to draw with shapes!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>calendar<\/strong> is a <strong>daily<\/strong> activity to do with your child that develop number and pattern recognition. Here is the link to print a calendar to update daily with your child. The set has a weather component, if you like.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.themailbox.com\/magazines\/september-calendar-setbr4-pages\/september-calendar-set-3\"> https:\/\/www.themailbox.com\/magazines\/october-calendar-setbr4-pages\/october-calendar-set-3<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Daily counting of <strong>tally marks<\/strong> and show your child a number card or write the number down to show your child. The numbers of the tallies will be different every day. Extend the concept by comparing numbers: <strong>which has more? Which has fewer? Which are the same?<\/strong> <strong>How many more (count with fingers)?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Art<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Many art projects are created with letter H or h.
