I realize that you might have to survey other members of your family for the question of the day<\/strong> so that your child have enough tally marks to count or have your child put more than one tally mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the writing\/reading process,<\/strong> have your child trace or copy (advanced skill) daily<\/strong> his\/her name on paper\/dry eraser board\/ mini blackboard (kindergarten handwriting page) starting at the top of each letter (you could draw \ud83d\ude42) either in all uppercase letters or just first letter in uppercase and the rest in lowercase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Have your child first trace the letter(s) you wrote with one finger. Lowercase t writing https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=MKrxgY2p5p0<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

A whole week activity<\/strong>:
For the phonetic<\/strong> part, have a big yogurt container with a lid filled with small objects or pictures that start with the letter T (table, teddy, telephone, ten, top, tractor.) You might want to add a picture of a hippo, so that your child can say that hippo does not start with T! On the tune of \u201cOh, my Darling Clementine\u201d, we can sing: what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather like today? Is it cloudy, is it rainy, is it sunny, is it cold?<\/strong> (You can also change the weather words).
Let your child check the weather and tell you about it. You might want to ask your child to do a weather drawing that you can label. Some activities will be repetitive to create a routine that brings comfort to your child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I will schedule a virtual pumpkin patch field trip<\/strong> with videos, books and activities on the 3rd day!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    For this counting seeds activity<\/strong>, you need (1) pumpkin seeds, (2) spoon and (3) muffin\/cupcake pan. Ask you child to put and count a number of seeds in each cup. Label with written numbers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    The calendar<\/strong> is a daily<\/strong> activity to do with your child that develop number and pattern recognition. Here is the link to print a calendar to update daily with your child.     Daily counting of tally marks<\/strong> and show your child a number card or write the number down to show your child. The numbers of the tallies will be different every day. Extend the concept by comparing numbers: which has more? Which has fewer? Which are the same?<\/strong> How many more (count with fingers)?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Art<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    For Painting a Paper Bag Pumpkin Art Project,<\/strong> you need (1) orange paint, (2) small paper bag filled with newspaper, (3) brush, (4) green pipe cleaner, (5) scissors, (6) green construction paper and (7) marker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Directions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Cut green leaves out of construction paper.<\/li>
    2. Attach green pipe cleaner to filled small paper bag with green leaves.<\/li>
    3. Paint with brush the small paper bag in orange.<\/li>
    4. Once dry, draw a face on small paper bag.

      For Paper Strips Pumpkin Art Project<\/strong>, you need (1) scissors, (2) orange and green construction paper, (3) stapler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Directions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Cut green leaves out of construction paper.<\/li>
      2. Cut long orange strips of construction paper.<\/li>
      3. Arrange orange strips in the shape of a star and staple together in the middle of all pieces.<\/li>
      4. Staple all piece ends together with green leaves.<\/li>
