Let\u2019s listen to his <strong>story<\/strong>: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=00hvE5jTLj8\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=00hvE5jTLj8<\/a> After listening to the story, help your child to retell the story using lots of T words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A whole week activity<\/strong>:<br>For the <strong>phonetic<\/strong> part, have a big yogurt container with a lid filled with small objects or pictures that start with the letter T (table, teddy, telephone, ten, top, tractor.) You might want to add a picture of a hippo, so that your child can say that hippo does not start with T! Some animals also wake up at night. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Wake Up, Night<\/span> shows your child many <strong>nocturnal<\/strong> <strong>animals<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=QhTMa2YkB0Q\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=QhTMa2YkB0Q<\/a> Brainstorm with your child the nocturnal animals in your neighborhood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the tune of \u201cOh, my Darling Clementine\u201d, we can sing: <strong>what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather like today? Is it cloudy, is it rainy, is it sunny, is it cold?<\/strong> (You can also change the weather words).<br>Let your child check the weather and tell you about it. You might want to ask your child to do a weather drawing that you can label. Brainstorm with your child (1) what you need to build a scarecrow and (2) what faces you and your child can make that are scary (try many). Your child can sort buttons in the pan by colors, shapes, and sizes, and count the buttons in each cup. Label with the number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>calendar<\/strong> is a <strong>daily<\/strong> activity to do with your child that develop number and pattern recognition. Here is the link to print a calendar to update daily with your child. The numbers of the tallies will be different every day. Extend the concept by comparing numbers: <strong>which has more? Which has fewer? Which are the same?<\/strong> <strong>How many more (count with fingers)?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Art<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>Building a Scarecrow Face Art Project<\/strong>, you need (1) paper plate, (2) big triangle piece of fabric, (3) scissors, (4) 1 black pipe cleaner, (5) 2 googly eyes\/buttons, (6) hay, (7) 2 Little pink circles, (8) glue, and (9) small orange triangle of construction paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Directions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Glue hay on top of paper plate face.<\/li><li>Glue big fabric triangle on top for hat (can be decorated too).<\/li><li>cut pipe cleaner for smile: 2 little and 1 big pieces.<\/li><li>Glue pipe cleaner smile, 2 googly eyes, 2 pink circles for cheeks, and 1 small orange triangle for nose.<\/li><li>Picture <a href=\"https:\/\/www.findingzest.com\/scarecrow-paper-plate-craft-for-thanksgiving\/\">https:\/\/www.findingzest.com\/scarecrow-paper-plate-craft-for-thanksgiving\/<\/a><br><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>For the simple <strong>Hay Painting Art Project<\/strong>, you need (1) various paint, (2) hay stalks tied together, and (3) 1 sheet of black construction paper. Have your child paint with hay. What new color can your child make by mixing colors?
