Did you know that sheep have horns too? Goats have straight horns and sheep have rounded horns. Let\u2019s observe them. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=zu0Xa0pYjD0\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=zu0Xa0pYjD0<\/a><br>The mommy sheep is a ewe, the daddy a ram and the baby sheep is a lamb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Science<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>What\u2019s the weather today? According to weather folklore, March comes <strong>in like a lion and goes out like a lamb<\/strong>. What does that mean? March startles the winter\/spring line. April is definitely in Spring. Let\u2019s take a sheet of paper and divide it into 2 columns: one for Winter weather signs and one for Spring weather signs. Help your child come up with weather signs for Winter and Spring and write them down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If your child has a journal, write down what your child says and date the entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Language Arts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Rhyming is so much fun! <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Sheep in a Jeep <\/span>by Nancy Shaw is full of rhymes. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WhiIywoy4Eg\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WhiIywoy4Eg<\/a><br>After viewing the book, help your child to recall the story. Place all the cards face down and have your child turn 2 cards over. The winner turns 2 cards of the same color. Continue the game until there is no cards face down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For this <strong>counting exercise<\/strong>, give your child a piece of green construction paper (is a meadow) and a bowl of white and yellow pom-poms. Have your child take a handful of them and dropping them on the paper. Have your child count the white ones (lambs) and the yellow ones (lions.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Art<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>For this art <strong>project<\/strong>, you need (1) construction paper in 2 colors, (2) scissors, (3) white paint, (4) eyes, (5) cork.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Have your child use this pattern to cut and trace the sheep\u2019s head and feet on black construction paper. <br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.themailbox.com\/magazines\/lamb-patternsbr-2-pages\/lamb-head-and-legs\">https:\/\/www.themailbox.com\/magazines\/lamb-patternsbr-2-pages\/lamb-head-and-legs<\/a><br>Use the cork in white paint to do the sheep\u2019s body and then glue head, feet and eyes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/numbertwopencil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/image-6.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-282\" width=\"169\" height=\"153\" srcset=\"https:\/\/numbertwopencil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/image-6.png 331w, https:\/\/numbertwopencil.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/image-6-300x272.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 169px) 100vw, 169px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>2. For this fluffy lamb <strong>project<\/strong>, you need (1) construction paper in white and green, (2) cotton balls, (3) black and white paint, (4) paintbrush, (5) glue, and (6) scissors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paint your child\u2019s hand black and make a handprint on the paper. When the paint is dry, turn the paper upside down and Help your child glue cotton balls on and around the palm of the handprint.
