For the writing\/reading process,<\/strong> have your child trace or copy (advanced skill) daily<\/strong> his\/her name on paper\/dry eraser board\/ mini blackboard (kindergarten handwriting page) starting at the top of each letter (you could draw \ud83d\ude42) either in all uppercase letters or just first letter in capital\/uppercase and the rest in lowercase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I realize that you might have to survey other members of your family for the question of the day<\/strong> so that your child have enough tally marks to count or have your child put more than one tally mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Make letter C shape:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. 1 big curve for capital C\/ 1 little curve<\/strong> for Lowercase c<\/strong>. Your child use a finger to trace the letter starting at the top, going down and around from left to right (https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xpM6EcggWcM<\/a>). In order to start learning letters, your child will need a set of big curves, little curves, big lines and little lines in wood.<\/strong> You can purchase them at https:\/\/www.lwtears.com<\/a> or make them your self.     A whole week activity<\/strong>:
    For the phonetic<\/strong> part, have a big yogurt container with a lid filled with small objects or pictures that start with the letter C (cake, car, cat, candle, cap, castle, clean, clever, climb, clock, clothes, cold, color, come, cook, count, cross, cuddle, cup, custard, cut.) You might want to add a picture of a unicorn, so that your child can say that unicorn does not start with C!     Science<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    For Dancing Appleseeds Science Experiment<\/strong>, you need (1) appleseeds (adult cut apples in halves to find seeds), (2) seltzer water or soda, and (3) a cup.
    Hypothesis<\/strong>: What will happen to appleseeds in a cup if you pour seltzer water or soda on them?
    Experiment<\/strong>: have you child put apple seeds in a cup and pour some seltzer water or soda on them.

    On the tune of \u201cOh, my Darling Clementine\u201d, we can sing: what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather like today? Is it cloudy, is it rainy, is it sunny, is it cold?<\/strong> (You can also change the weather words).
    Let your child check the weather and tell you about it. You might want to ask your child to do a weather drawing that you can label. Some activities will be repetitive to create a routine that brings comfort to your child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For advanced skills, this video helps your child to count down from 20 to 1. To extend even further the exploration (advanced) help your child count by 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    November is here! The calendar<\/strong> is a daily<\/strong> activity to do with your child that develop number and pattern recognition. Here is the link to print a calendar to update daily with your child. The set has a weather component, if you like. https:\/\/www.themailbox.com\/magazines\/november-calendar-setbr4-pages\/november-calendar-set-2<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Daily counting of tally marks<\/strong> and show your child a number card or write the number down to show your child. The numbers of the tallies will be different every day. Extend the concept by comparing numbers: which has more? Which has fewer? Which are the same?<\/strong> How many more (count with fingers)?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Art<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    For Apple Wreath Art Project<\/strong>, you need (1) paper plate, (2) little plate with red\/yellow\/green paint , (3) cut apples (from science experiment), (4) scissors, (5) piece of yarn, (6) fork, (7) glue, and (8) little green construction paper leaves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Directions: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Cut the inside of paper plate leaving a thick rim. Here is your undecorated wreath.<\/li>
    2. Pierce the half-cut apple with the fork.<\/li>
    3. Dip Apple in paint.<\/li>
    4. Press the half-cut apple with paint on white construction paper to make prints.<\/li>
    5. Once dry, cut out apples.<\/li>
    6. Glue paper apples on paper plate wreath with little green construction paper leaves on the top of each apple print.<\/li>
    7. Make a loop with the piece of yarn through a little hole at the top of the wreath to hang it.<\/li>

      For Bubble Wrap Apple Painting Art Project<\/strong>, you need (1) paper towel or rolling pin , (2) bubble wrap, (3) red\/green\/yellow paint on little paper plate with brush, (4) white construction paper, (5) scissors, (6) little green construction paper leaves, (7) glue, (8) tape, and (9) marker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Directions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Attach bubble wrap around empty paper towel roll or rolling pin with tape.<\/li>
      2. Draw apples on white construction paper with marker.<\/li>
      3. Paint bubble wrap with brush.<\/li>
      4. Roll empty paper towel roll or rolling pin with bubble wrap and paint on white construction paper.<\/li>
      5. Once dry, cut out paper apples.<\/li>
      6. Glue little green. Instruction paper leaves.<\/li>
