(Blow kisses) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the writing\/reading process,<\/strong> have your child trace or copy (advanced skill) <strong>daily<\/strong> his\/her name on paper\/dry eraser board\/ mini blackboard (kindergarten handwriting page) starting at the top of each letter (you could draw \ud83d\ude42) either in all uppercase letters or just first letter in capital\/uppercase and the rest in lowercase. If your child is starting to write on paper, you can write your child\u2019s name with a highlighter and your child can use a crayon to trace it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I realize that you might have to survey other members of your family for the <strong>question of the day<\/strong> so that your child have enough tally marks to count or have your child put more than one tally mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Which bird is nocturnal?<br>EAGLE \/ OWL \/ PEACOCK \/ NIGHTINGALE <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Make letter O shape:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>2 big curves for capital O\/ 2 little curves<\/strong> <strong>for Lowercase o<\/strong>. Your child use a finger to trace the letter starting at the top, going down, around from left to right and back up. You might want to add a picture of a cat, so that your child can say that cat does not start with O! With a good telescope, you can see almost all the <strong>planets in our solar system<\/strong>. I hope budding astronomers get a chance to look at the sky at night with their families!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Have you ever heard of an <strong>owl pellet<\/strong>? Owls often swallow mice, voles, small birds and other prey whole! Bones, teeth and fur are indigestible and regurgitated into an oval mass. I bought pellets safe for class use and children could see bones enveloped in fur. Is it cloudy, is it rainy, is it sunny, is it cold?<\/strong> (You can also change the weather words).<br>Let your child check the weather and tell you about it. You might want to ask your child to do a weather drawing that you can label. Some activities will be repetitive to create a routine that brings comfort to your child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Language Arts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>These books can entertain, especially <strong>nocturnal<\/strong> friends! Share what your bedtime routine is and ask what your child\u2019s bedtime routine is too. Brainstorm how you can make it better. The winning player is the one identifying four shapes in a row on a printed bingo sheet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>November is here! The <strong>calendar<\/strong> is a <strong>daily<\/strong> activity to do with your child that develop number and pattern recognition. Here is the link to print a calendar to update daily with your child. The numbers of the tallies will be different every day. Extend the concept by comparing numbers: <strong>which has more? Which has fewer? Which are the same?<\/strong> <strong>How many more (count with fingers)?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Art<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>Snowy Owl Art Project<\/strong>, you need (1) black, brown,  and yellow construction paper, (2) white paint, (3) loofah sponge, (4) scissors, (5) glue, and (6) white crayon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Directions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Cut 2 yellow construction paper circles for owl\u2019s eyes.<\/li><li>Cut a long strip for a log and 2 owl\u2019s feet out of brown construction paper.<\/li><li>Cut 1 black construction paper triangle for owl\u2019s beak and 2 smaller black circles to fit inside yellow circles for owl\u2019s eyes.<\/li><li>Take a black construction paper sheet and paint with a loofah sponge and white paint on it.<\/li><li>Glue black circles inside yellow circles and draw a dot on black circles with white crayon.<\/li><li>Once dry, glue triangular owl\u2019s beak with triangle pointing down and 2 circles for owl\u2019s eyes right above beak.<\/li><li>Glue brown owl\u2019s feet and log at the bottom of painted owl.<\/li><li>Picture <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fantasticfunandlearning.com\/snowy-owl-winter-craft-kids.html\">https:\/\/www.fantasticfunandlearning.com\/snowy-owl-winter-craft-kids.html<\/a><\/li><li>Your child may decide to paint owlets (3) instead of an owl on the sheet of black construction paper.
