Science<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Review with your child that a bee is an insect and has body parts: Head, thorax, abdomen, six legs, 2 antennae and a set of wings. You can find a song in Insects Week – General.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bee workers deposit the nectar into a honeycomb. Here is a copy of what a honeycomb looks like and you can help your child to color it. http:\/\/www.supercoloring.com\/coloring-pages\/hexagon-honeycomb-tessellation<\/a> and you can glue some paper bees on it with Make a Bee Coloring Page https:\/\/twistynoodle.com\/make-a-bee-coloring-page\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If your child has a nature journal, help him\/her to glue the project above in it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After each reading, help your child to sequence the story: what happens first, next and at the end. Also, ask your child what makes him\/her happy and, in the second story, how does your child shows love or care for his\/her family.

For this Bee project, you need (1) circles of white, yellow and black construction paper, (2) glue, (3) googly eyes, (4) scissors, and (5) pipe cleaner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Help your child to glue the circles together, the eyes, and the antennae out of pipe cleaner. Oh, don\u2019t forget the stinger at the end of your bee! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Potato Masher Bee Craft, you need (1) yellow construction paper, (2) potato masher, (3) black paint, (4) googly eyes, (5) Ovals made out of white tissue paper, (6) glue, (7) scissors, and (8) black marker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Have your child dip the potato masher in the black paint and press it on the yellow construction paper. When the paint is dry, have him\/her glue 2 ovals of white tissue paper and googly eyes. He\/she can use the marker to decorate further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
