(Blow kisses) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the writing\/reading process,<\/strong> have your child trace or copy (advanced skill) <strong>daily<\/strong> his\/her name on paper\/dry eraser board\/ mini blackboard (kindergarten handwriting page) starting at the top of each letter (you could draw an emoji \ud83d\ude42) either in all uppercase letters or just first letter in capital\/uppercase and the rest in lowercase. If your child is starting to write on paper, you can write your child\u2019s name with a highlighter and your child can use a crayon to trace it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I realize that you might have to survey other members of your family for the <strong>question of the day<\/strong> so that your child have enough tally marks to count or have your child put more than one tally mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Which word start with letter B?       <br>BABY \ud83d\udc76\ud83c\udfff  \/ BIRTHDAY \ud83c\udf82\/ JACKET \ud83e\udde5\/ BOOTS\ud83d\udc62 <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s start with <strong>Bouncy Ben<\/strong> from <strong>Letterland<\/strong> and listen to the song:<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=cuAraEZFaEM\"> <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=uDwj_529HjI\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=uDwj_529HjI<\/a> After listening to the song, have your child trace a capital B and a lower case b, starting at the top (song &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=BJnZePnDo-U\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=BJnZePnDo-U<\/a>), go down,  jump back up and do a curve line.  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=O1MfdgzzdHo\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=O1MfdgzzdHo<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A whole week activity<\/strong>:<br>For the <strong>phonetic<\/strong> part, have a big yogurt container with a lid filled with small objects or pictures that start with the letter B (baby, bad, balance, ball, bar, beautiful, bed, bee, big, bird, birthday,biscuit, blue, boat, bounce, bread, breakfast, bridge, brown, bubble, bun, bus, butter, butterfly.) You might want to add a picture of a pig, so that your child can say Dog that does not start with B! Here is a book of B word pictures: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.first-school.ws\/t.asp?t=http:\/\/www.first-school.ws\/images\/alpha\/ap1\/b.gif\">https:\/\/www.first-school.ws\/t.asp?t=http:\/\/www.first-school.ws\/images\/alpha\/ap1\/b.gif<\/a>  Also, you can add new objects\/pictures starting with the letter B every day and let your child explore the container all through the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Science<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For the <strong>Red and Blue Food Coloring Race Science experiment<\/strong>, you need (1) blue and red food coloring and (2) 2 water bottles\/tall clear water glasses of same size. Does a difference in water temperature has an effect on the food color race?<br>Directions:    <br>1. Pour cold water into 1 bottle\/tall water glass and warm water into another.  <br>2. At the same time, put 1-3 drops of red food coloring in warm water and 1-3 drops of blue food coloring in cold water at the same time. What happens? Which color touches the bottom of the bottle\/glass first? The major themes are winter clothing and seasons. Pretend with your child you are going into the cold winter to play and putting on clothes. With your child, name each piece of clothing and make a movement for putting on socks, undershirt,&#8230;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are some riddles for your child:     <br>1. Each number of the die corresponds to a piece of clothing:    <br><strong>1<\/strong> if for hat, <strong>2<\/strong> is for jacket, <strong>3<\/strong> is for scarf, <strong>4<\/strong> is for mittens, <strong>5<\/strong> is for socks, and <strong>6<\/strong> is for boots. (For advanced, extend to 12 with 2 dice adding other pieces of clothing.) Each time your child roll the die, your child has to put on a new piece of clothing. As an alternative, you can use a paper person with paper clothing too. (<a href=\"https:\/\/makingfriends.com\/f_winter-2\/\">https:\/\/makingfriends.com\/f_winter-2\/<\/a>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>January just started. The <strong>calendar<\/strong> is a <strong>daily<\/strong> activity to do with your child that develop number and pattern recognition. Here is the link to print a calendar to update daily with your child. The set has a weather component, if you like.<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.themailbox.com\/magazines\/january-calendar-set\/january-calendar-set-2\">https:\/\/www.themailbox.com\/magazines\/january-calendar-set\/january-calendar-set-2<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Daily counting of <strong>tally marks<\/strong> and show your child a number card or write the number down to show your child. The numbers of the tallies will be different every day. Extend the concept by comparing numbers: <strong>which has more? Which has fewer? Which are the same?<\/strong> <strong>How many more (count with fingers)?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Art<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For the <strong>Collage Art Project<\/strong>, you need: (1) sheet of construction paper, (2) scissors, (3) glue, (4) catalogs of clothes (Lands\u2019 End, LLBeans, &#8230;.) and (5) markers.     <br>Directions:   <br>1. Encourage your child to cut pants, shirts, hats,&#8230;. in various catalogs.    <br>2. Let your child glue outfits together and complete them with faces, buttons,&#8230;. with markers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>Letterland Letter B Art Project<\/strong>, you need: (1) letter B template to print <a href=\"https:\/\/twistynoodle.com\/my-letter-b-5-coloring-page\/\">https:\/\/twistynoodle.com\/my-letter-b-5-coloring-page\/<\/a>, (2) pink and white construction paper, (3) scissors, (4) glue, (5) googly eyes, (6) black marker, and (7) cotton balls.     <br>Directions:      <br>1. Take sheet of pink construction paper and trace letter B.   <br>2. Glue googly eyes inside top part of B and cotton balls on the traced line for B.    <br>3. Cut bunny ears in white and pink construction paper.    <br>4. Glue ears on top of letter B.    <br>5. Draw bunny\u2019s nose and whiskers.    <br>6.
