(Blow kisses) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the writing\/reading process,<\/strong> have your child trace or copy (advanced skill) <strong>daily<\/strong> his\/her name on paper\/dry eraser board\/ mini blackboard (kindergarten handwriting page) starting at the top of each letter (you could draw an emoji \ud83d\ude42) either in all uppercase letters or just first letter in capital\/uppercase and the rest in lowercase. If your child is starting to write on paper, you can write your child\u2019s name with a highlighter and your child can use a crayon to trace it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I realize that you might have to survey other members of your family for the <strong>question of the day<\/strong> so that your child have enough tally marks to count or have your child put more than one tally mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Do you wear 2 socks that are the same color and shape? <br>YES \/ NO<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Make Letter B Shape: <\/strong>   <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" id=\"block-a513d8b0-ce4b-4974-879b-2c2b365b6b12\"><li><strong>1 big line, 2 little curves for capital B\/1 big line and 1 little curve for Lowercase b<\/strong>. Your child use a finger to trace the letter starting at the top, going down, jump back up, and go around down. You might want to add a picture of a pig, so that your child can say Dog that does not start with B! Here is a book of B word pictures: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.first-school.ws\/t.asp?t=http:\/\/www.first-school.ws\/images\/alpha\/ap1\/b.gif\">https:\/\/www.first-school.ws\/t.asp?t=http:\/\/www.first-school.ws\/images\/alpha\/ap1\/b.gif<\/a> Also, you can add new objects\/pictures starting with the letter B every day and let your child explore the container all through the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Science<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For the <strong>Balloons Science Experiment<\/strong>, you need (1) 2 clear water glasses, (2) 2 water balloons (red and blue), (3) cold water, and hot water (adult only). What happens if you put lightly inflated water balloons on hot and cold water?<br>Directions:   <br>1. Blow some air in both balloons.  <br>2. Pour cold water in 1 clear glass and hot water in another clear glass (adult only).   <br>3. Put blue lightly inflated balloon on cold water. What happens to the balloon?<br>4. Put red lightly inflated balloon on hot water. What happens to the balloon?<br>The air in the balloon on hot water expands and contracts on cold  water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the tune of \u201cOh, my Darling Clementine\u201d, we can sing: <strong>what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather like today? Is it cloudy, is it rainy, is it sunny, is it cold?<\/strong> (You can also change the weather words).<br>Let your child check the weather and tell you about it. The major theme is pair of socks and rhymes. (clap, clap).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Math<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong>Math Activity with socks<\/strong>: Put all your child\u2019s socks together and encourage you child to put 2 socks together that are the same or make <strong>pairs<\/strong> and then count the pairs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Letter B <strong>Memory Game<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/twistynoodle.com\/letter-b-memory-game-coloring-page\/\">https:\/\/twistynoodle.com\/letter-b-memory-game-coloring-page\/<\/a> After cutting, put cards face down and encourage your child to take 2 cards that make a pair!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>January just started. The <strong>calendar<\/strong> is a <strong>daily<\/strong> activity to do with your child that develop number and pattern recognition. Here is the link to print a calendar to update daily with your child. The set has a weather component, if you like.<br><a href=\"https:\/\/www.themailbox.com\/magazines\/january-calendar-set\/january-calendar-set-2\">https:\/\/www.themailbox.com\/magazines\/january-calendar-set\/january-calendar-set-2<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Daily counting of <strong>tally marks<\/strong> and show your child a number card or write the number down to show your child. The numbers of the tallies will be different every day. Extend the concept by comparing numbers: <strong>which has more? Which has fewer? Which are the same?<\/strong> <strong>How many more (count with fingers)?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Art<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For the <strong>Pair of Socks Art Project<\/strong>, you need (1) construction paper, (2) scissors, and (3) markers\/paint\/color tape\/strips of color construction paper.    <br>Directions:     <br>1. Fold sheet of construction paper into two and draw\/cut shape of sock.   <br>2. Open up sheet of construction paper to see socks back to back.   <br>3. Design a pattern going across both socks with tape\/markers\/paint\/strips of construction paper on both sides of construction paper. <br>4. Cut and separate both socks. Cut 2 triangles out of small paper plate and staple to top as fox\u2019s ears.   <br>2. Paint the paper plate with orange tempera paint and brush.   <br>3.
