(Blow kisses) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the writing\/reading process,<\/strong> have your child trace or copy (advanced skill) <strong>daily<\/strong> his\/her name on paper\/dry eraser board\/ mini blackboard (kindergarten handwriting page) starting at the top of each letter (you could draw an emoji \ud83d\ude42) either in all uppercase letters or just first letter in capital\/uppercase and the rest in lowercase. If your child is starting to write on paper, you can write your child\u2019s name with a highlighter and your child can use a crayon to trace it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I realize that you might have to survey other members of your family for the <strong>question of the day<\/strong> so that your child have enough tally marks to count or have your child put more than one tally mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Which types of house have you see?       <br>HOUSE\ud83c\udfe1\/ MANSION \/ BIRDHOUSE \/ CHICKEN COOP \/ COW BARN<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your child started with <strong>Red Ro-bot<\/strong> from <strong>Letterland<\/strong> and listened to the song: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6it9EqiCbko\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6it9EqiCbko<\/a> After listening to the song, your child traced a capital R and a lower case r, starting at the top (song &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=BJnZePnDo-U\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=BJnZePnDo-U<\/a>), go down, jump back up and do a curve line around, then a diagonal line down. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=RBwJnjbRbro\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=RBwJnjbRbro<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, Now, let\u2019s listen to the story from the Letterland Corner: <strong>Red Robot and the Recycling<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=gMquclX7cnE\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=gMquclX7cnE<\/a> After listening to the story, help your child retell the story using lots of R words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A whole week activity<\/strong>:<br>For the <strong>phonetic<\/strong> part, have a big yogurt container with a lid filled with small objects or pictures that start with the letter R (rabbit, race, radio, rain, rascal, rat, read, ready, really, red, ride, right, ring, road, robber, robot, rock, roll, roof, rope, roses, round, rubber, rule, run, ruler.) You might want to add a picture of a bee, so that your child can say bee does not start with R! Here is a book of R word pictures: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.first-school.ws\/t.asp?t=http:\/\/www.first-school.ws\/images\/alpha\/ap1\/r1.gif\">https:\/\/www.first-school.ws\/t.asp?t=http:\/\/www.first-school.ws\/images\/alpha\/ap1\/r1.gif<\/a> Also, you can add new objects\/pictures starting with the letter R every day and let your child explore the container all through the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Science<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For the <strong>Soft and Hard<\/strong> Items <strong>Survey<\/strong>, you need (1) soft and hard little objects from your home, (2) a sheet of paper, and (3) marker. Encourage your child to sort objects into 2 groups (hard or soft) on a sheet of paper divided into 2 columns labeled \u201chard\u201d and \u201csoft\u201d. For further exploration, have your child <strong>count<\/strong> objects in each column and draw tally marks in each column (advanced &#8211; write numbers) and ask your child what your child could use to <strong>build a house\/shelter<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the tune of \u201cOh, my Darling Clementine\u201d, we can sing: <strong>what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather like today? Is it cloudy, is it rainy, is it sunny, is it cold?<\/strong> (You can also change the weather words).<br>Let your child check the weather and tell you about it. You might want to ask your child to do a weather drawing that you can label.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Kitchen Science<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>in the story of Goldilocks, there are bowls of porridge. In the classroom, I prepare <strong>oatmeal, a type of porridge<\/strong>,  with children using a bowl, a spoon, water or milk, and salt,  in a microwave. With your child, you can cook plain oatmeal with milk or water (1 serving: 1 cup of boiling water, 1\/2 cup of oatmeal, and a dash of salt) in a pot or in the microwave (adult only) or use a single serve bag of oatmeal with apple pieces and cinnamon from a brand name, for which you only need to add water or milk and cook in a pot or microwave. As soon as the oatmeal is cooked your child will be able to observe <strong>water vapor<\/strong> rising from the <strong>hot<\/strong> oatmeal, the gaseous phase of water!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Language Arts<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Goldilocks Literature:     <br>1. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Goldilocks and the Three Bears<\/span> retold  by Sarah Delmege <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WCxHYwl5tJ8\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=WCxHYwl5tJ8<\/a>.      <br>2. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Goldilocks and the Three Bears<\/span> by Jan Brett (advanced) <a href=\"https:\/\/m.youtube.com\/watch?v=GZ273emGkhc\">https:\/\/m.youtube.com\/watch?v=GZ273emGkhc<\/a>.        <br>3. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The Three Bears<\/span> retold by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hVTvWKmY7Ck\">https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hVTvWKmY7Ck<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Either in the classroom environment or in your home with members of your family, the story of Goldilocks and the three bears is an excellent book to act out (<strong>readers\u2019 theater<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After viewing a book, help your child <strong>sequence<\/strong> the story of Goldilocks and the three bears: what happened first, next,&#8230; at the end. Duplos or legos;   <br>2. Cardboard;    <br>3. Table and chairs;     <br>4. Tent; and<br>5. Cotton sheet, comforter or blanket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the house is built, provide your child with a measuring tape or ruler and help your child to <strong>measure<\/strong> different parts of the house and <strong>compare sizes<\/strong>: Is the door bigger than the window? The <strong>calendar<\/strong> is a <strong>daily<\/strong> activity to do with your child that develop number and pattern recognition. Here is the link to print a calendar to update daily with your child. The numbers of the tallies will be different every day. Extend the concept by comparing numbers: <strong>which has more? Which has fewer? Which are the same?How many more (count with fingers)?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Art<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>Letterland Letter R for Rain Art Project<\/strong>, you need (1) Letter R template <a href=\"https:\/\/twistynoodle.com\/my-letter-r-2-coloring-page\/\">https:\/\/twistynoodle.com\/my-letter-r-2-coloring-page\/<\/a>, (2) blue and white construction paper, (3) scissors, (4) cotton balls, (5) glue, and (6) white yarn.    <br>Directions:     <br>1. Cut Letter R with template out of white construction paper.    <br>2. Take a sheet of blue construction paper and glue letter R.   <br>3. Cut yarn pieces and water drops out of blue construction paper.   <br>4. Glue cotton balls as clouds, yarn pieces and raindrops on letter R.   <br>5. If you have a Letterland Binder, add this craft to the others in the binder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>Goldilocks and the Three Bears Art Project<\/strong>, you need (1) blue and brown construction paper, (2) scissors, (3) glue, (4) sticks and brown leaves from outside.    <br>Directions:    <br>1.
