(Blow kisses) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the writing\/reading process,<\/strong> have your child trace or copy (advanced skill) <strong>daily<\/strong> his\/her name on paper\/dry eraser board\/ mini blackboard (kindergarten handwriting page) starting at the top of each letter (you could draw an emoji \ud83d\ude42) either in all uppercase letters or just first letter in capital\/uppercase and the rest in lowercase. If your child is starting to write on paper, you can write your child\u2019s name with a highlighter and your child can use a crayon to trace it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I realize that you might have to survey other members of your family for the <strong>question of the day<\/strong> so that your child have enough tally marks to count or have your child put more than one tally mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>How many pets do you see in one day?    <br>1 \/ 2 \/ 3 \/ 4 \/ 5<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Make Letter N Shape:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" id=\"block-41f8a573-7348-40e0-96e7-6994a977d523\"><li><strong>3 big lines for capital N\/ 1 big line, 1 little curve and 1 little line for Lowercase n<\/strong>. You might want to add a picture of an Mouse, so that your child can say mouse does not start with N! For the frozen treat recipe, you need (1) 1 ripe banana, (2) 1\/2 cup of plain yogurt, (3) 1\/2 cup of wheat germ, (4) 1\/4 cup unsalted chopped peanuts, (5) bowl, (6) muffin pan (silicon or you can use a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper), and (7) fork.    <br>Directions:   <br>1. Mash banana in bowl and add plain yogurt, wheat germ and chopped peanuts.   <br>2. Either fill muffin cup hallway or drop balls on lined cookie sheet.  <br>3. put in freezer until hard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Science<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>On the tune of \u201cOh, my Darling Clementine\u201d, we can sing: <strong>what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather like today? Is it cloudy, is it rainy, is it sunny, is it cold?<\/strong> (You can also change the weather words).<br>Let your child check the weather and tell you about it. Brainstorm with your child what a dog (your dog)  needs to live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>an advanced activity<\/strong>, have your child fill in a simple <strong>story map<\/strong>. Take a sheet of paper and divide it into 3 equal size parts. For further exploration, your child can use a ruler to measure length, width, and height.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>February is here to stay! The <strong>calendar<\/strong> is a <strong>daily<\/strong> activity to do with your child that develop number and pattern recognition. Which are the same?How many more (count with fingers)<\/strong>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Art<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>Paper Plate Dog Mask Art Project<\/strong>, you need (1) 1 paper plate, (2) brown or black construction paper, (3) 2 big googly eyes, (4) black marker, (5) scissors, and (6) big black pompom.    <br>Directions:    <br>1. Cut an oval for eye patch and 2 long ovals for dog ears out of brown\/black construction paper.   <br>2. Glue eye patch with eye on top, other eye, big black pompom for nose, 2 big dog ears on each side of paper plate.   <br>3. Draw 2 letter J back to back for dog mouth, under the pompom nose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>Painting with Doggy Bones<\/strong>, you need (1) construction paper, (2) tempera paint, (3) small paper plate, (4) doggy bones, and (5) black markers.  <br>Directions:    <br>1. Pour some paint on paper plate.   <br>2. Dip doggy bone in paint and print on construction paper. <br>3. Once dry, encourage your child to count the bones.   <br>4. Transform the art into a game by writing a number from 1-6 (1-12 for advanced) on each bone and providing a die (dice for advanced).
