The Amazon River basin is the largest basin in the world and it snakes through the Amazon Rainforest. Its biodiversity is extensive and we will concentrate on animals living in this tropical rainforest. Science<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The weather in the Tropical rainforest is mainly rainy with hot temperatures. Let\u2019s make a rainy cloud in a jar. For this experiment, you need (1) a jar, (2) shaving cream, (3) blue food coloring, (4) water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Have your child fill the jar with water, spray shaving cream on top and drop some food coloring above the cream. The weight of food coloring will move down like the rain from a cloud. Here is the explanation https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=x4GePPTUAjI<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the tropical rainforest, there are many different kinds of monkeys. Grumpy Monkey<\/span> by Suzanne Lang tells the story of a very grumpy monkey with lots of friends. https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=wylzbbSL668<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

after viewing the book, help your child tell you which animal did monkey encounter in the story. Then, you can also discuss with your child the meaning of \u201cbeing grumpy\u201d and how does your child feel when she\/he is grumpy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
