(Blow kisses) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the writing\/reading process,<\/strong> have your child trace or copy (advanced skill) <strong>daily<\/strong> his\/her name on paper\/dry eraser board\/ mini blackboard (kindergarten handwriting page) starting at the top of each letter (you could draw an emoji \ud83d\ude42) either in all uppercase letters or just first letter in capital\/uppercase and the rest in lowercase. If your child is starting to write on paper, you can write your child\u2019s name with a highlighter and your child can use a crayon to trace it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I realize that you might have to survey other members of your family for the <strong>question of the day<\/strong> so that your child have enough tally marks to count or have your child put more than one tally mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>What is your favorite truck?      <br>DUMP TRUCK \/ TOW TRUCK \/ CEMENT MIXER \/ TANKER<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Make Letter W Shape:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" id=\"block-0ea8d605-5683-44aa-9b98-4971e52e033a\"><li><strong>4 big lines for capital W\/ 4 little lines for Lowercase w<\/strong>. You might want to add a picture of a violin, so that your child can say Violin does not start with W! For this activity, provide your child with <strong>recyclables<\/strong> like empty toilet paper rolls, egg cartons, cardboard, bottle caps, containers, scissors, tape&#8230;. and brainstorm first how to <strong>build a truck<\/strong> by listing the different truck parts. Then, assist your child in the building phase. Once built, encourage your child to paint, color and add details to the truck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the tune of \u201cOh, my Darling Clementine\u201d, we can sing: <strong>what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather like today? Is it cloudy, is it rainy, is it sunny, is it cold?<\/strong> (You can also change the weather words).<br>Let your child check the weather and tell you about it. Brainstorm with your child what you know about trucks. Discuss what \u201chelping hands\u201d means and how you and your child use it every day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>an advanced activity<\/strong>, have your child fill in a simple <strong>story map<\/strong>. Take a sheet of paper and divide it into 3 equal size parts. Which are the same?How many more (count with fingers)<\/strong>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Art<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>Egg Carton Dump Truck Art Project<\/strong>, you need (1) egg carton (makes 2 trucks), (2) hot glue (adult only), (3) scissors, (4) tempera paint or markers, (5) bottle caps or black construction paper circles for wheels, (6) plastic egg for driver (draw a face with marker).   <br>Directions:    <br>1.
