(Blow kisses) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the writing\/reading process,<\/strong> have your child trace or copy (advanced skill) <strong>daily<\/strong> his\/her name on paper\/dry eraser board\/ mini blackboard (kindergarten handwriting page) starting at the top of each letter (you could draw an emoji \ud83d\ude42) either in all uppercase letters or just first letter in capital\/uppercase and the rest in lowercase. If your child is starting to write on paper, you can write your child\u2019s name with a highlighter and your child can use a crayon to trace it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I realize that you might have to survey other members of your family for the <strong>question of the day<\/strong> so that your child have enough tally marks to count or have your child put more than one tally mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>Can you ride a bicycle&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..?     <br>WITH 2 TRAINING WHEELS \/ WITHOUT 2 TRAINING WHEELS\/ I RIDE A TRICYCLE<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Make Letter W Shape:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" id=\"block-da4cc611-cdea-4855-85dd-abb59589f1e8\"><li><strong>4 big lines for capital W\/ 4 little lines for Lowercase w<\/strong>. Your child use a finger to trace the letter starting at the top, going diagonally down, and then back up diagonally, then down diagonally and up diagonally again. You might want to add a picture of a violin, so that your child can say Violin does not start with W! For <strong>Time<\/strong> <strong>Measuring Speed Experiment<\/strong>, you need a bicycle\/tricycle and a timer. Encourage your child to run a distance and time it. Then, ask your child to bicycle\/tricycle the same distance and time it too. Which experiment was faster and why?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the tune of \u201cOh, my Darling Clementine\u201d, we can sing: <strong>what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather like today? Is it cloudy, is it rainy, is it sunny, is it cold?<\/strong> (You can also change the weather words).<br>Let your child check the weather and tell you about it. Brainstorm with your child what you know about bicycling. Discuss how your child can keep safe. (Reference website below)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>an advanced activity<\/strong>, have your child fill in a simple <strong>story map<\/strong>. Take a sheet of paper and divide it into 3 equal size parts. (Hold handle bar)<br>Down the sidewalk and through the gate!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Math<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Pattern blocks and design cards<\/strong> are fun geometrical puzzles and excellent math tools. I strongly recommends exploring them with your child. You can make your own by printing free pattern blocks mats found on different websites and cutting shapes out of color construction paper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do you have a set of <strong>dominoes<\/strong>? Here is a free template <a href=\"http:\/\/www.supercoloring.com\/paper-crafts\/printable-dominoes-set-template\">http:\/\/www.supercoloring.com\/paper-crafts\/printable-dominoes-set-template<\/a>. For playing dominoes, put a domino in front of players and divide equally all other dominoes. Each player takes turn to find a domino that has the same number of dots as the one(s) in front while making a domino chain.<br><br>Spring is in the air in March! The <strong>calendar<\/strong> is a <strong>daily<\/strong> activity to do with your child that develop number and pattern recognition. Here is the link to print a calendar to update daily with your child. The numbers of the tallies will be different every day. Extend the concept by comparing numbers: <strong>which has more? Which has fewer? Which are the same?How many more (count with fingers)<\/strong>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Art<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>Spin Art Project<\/strong>, you need (1) salad spinner, (2) tempera paint, (3) white paper.  <br>Directions:    <br>1. Take lid off salad spinner and place a piece of white paper in.    <br>2. Drop some tempera paint of choice on paper.   <br>3. Put lid back on and spin.   <br>4. Take lid off and see beautiful colorful art!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>Building with Pasta Art Project<\/strong>, you need (1) paper, (2) Little Wheels and Penne noodles, (3) markers, and (4) glue.   <br>Directions:   <br>1. Take paper and build bicycles with little wheels and Penne noodles.   <br>2. Glue all pieces together.
