(Blow kisses) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the writing\/reading process,<\/strong> have your child trace or copy (advanced skill) <strong>daily<\/strong> his\/her name on paper\/dry eraser board\/ mini blackboard (kindergarten handwriting page) starting at the top of each letter (you could draw an emoji \ud83d\ude42) either in all uppercase letters or just first letter in capital\/uppercase and the rest in lowercase. If your child is starting to write on paper, you can write your child\u2019s name with a highlighter and your child can use a crayon to trace it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I realize that you might have to survey other members of your family for the <strong>question of the day<\/strong> so that your child have enough tally marks to count or have your child put more than one tally mark.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>What is or are the colors of Saint Patrick\u2019s Day?     <br>BLACK \/ RED \/ GREEN \/ YELLOW<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have <strong>My First School Book <\/strong>from <strong>Handwriting Without Tears<\/strong> methodology <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lwtears.com\/hwt\">https:\/\/www.lwtears.com\/hwt<\/a>. Have your child complete <strong>page 67<\/strong>. Your child can also <strong>practice writing number 9 on pages 88. <\/strong>More practice <a href=\"https:\/\/twistynoodle.com\/practice-writing-the-letter-x-coloring-page\/\">https:\/\/twistynoodle.com\/practice-writing-the-letter-x-coloring-page\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>A whole week activity<\/strong>:<br>For the <strong>phonetic<\/strong> part, have a big yogurt container with a lid filled with small objects or pictures that have the letter X (box, exit, fix, Fox, mix, mixture, next, six, sixteen, sixty, taxi, wax). You might want to add a picture of a whale, so that your child can say Whale does not start with X! Here is a book of X word pictures: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.first-school.ws\/t.asp?t=http:\/\/www.first-school.ws\/images\/alpha\/ap1\/x.gif\">https:\/\/www.first-school.ws\/t.asp?t=http:\/\/www.first-school.ws\/images\/alpha\/ap1\/x.gif<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/twistynoodle.com\/letter-x-minibook\/\">https:\/\/twistynoodle.com\/letter-x-minibook\/<\/a> Also, you can add new objects\/pictures starting with the letter X every day and let your child explore the container all through the week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Science<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s <strong>review Colors<\/strong>! Brainstorm with your child the primary colors (yellow, red, blue) and what color your child can mix to get other colors (orange, green, brown, purple). Your child can either mix tempera paint in plastic snack bags or use food coloring in cups of water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How to make a <strong>Rainbow<\/strong>? On a sunny day, put a glass full of water in front of a window, on a windowsill or counter in direct sunlight, and place a piece of white paper behind the glass on the floor, in the line of the glass. Your child will see a rainbow on the paper. How is it possible? (The glass acts like a prism). Encourage your child to explore and describe.<br><br>On the tune of \u201cOh, my Darling Clementine\u201d, we can sing: <strong>what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather like today? Is it cloudy, is it rainy, is it sunny, is it cold?<\/strong> (You can also change the weather words).<br>Let your child check the weather and tell you about it. Brainstorm with your child what you know about Saint Patrick\u2019s Day. Discuss how  your child and your family can celebrate Saint Patrick\u2019s Day. One major theme is how to be <strong>helpful<\/strong> with actions, Brainstorm with your child how your child and you are helping others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>an advanced activity<\/strong>, have your child fill in a simple <strong>story map<\/strong>. Take a sheet of paper and divide it into 3 equal size parts. Write \u201cBeginning\u201d, \u201cMiddle\u201d, and \u201cEnd\u201d and encourage your child to make a drawing about the beginning, the middle and the end of the story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Math<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Independent Practice:    <br>1. The <strong>calendar<\/strong> is a <strong>daily<\/strong> activity to do with your child that develop number and pattern recognition. Here is the link to print a calendar to update daily with your child. The numbers of the tallies will be different every day. Extend the concept by comparing numbers: <strong>which has more? Which has fewer? Which are the same?How many more (count with fingers)<\/strong>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Art<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Free Watercolor Painting!<\/strong> Your child just need paper, watercolor, water and a huge imagination!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Make a Clover <a href=\"https:\/\/twistynoodle.com\/make-a-clover-coloring-page\/\">https:\/\/twistynoodle.com\/make-a-clover-coloring-page\/<\/a> Your child can also cut out a big shamrock and decorate it. <a href=\"https:\/\/twistynoodle.com\/trace-the-shamrock-coloring-page\/\">https:\/\/twistynoodle.com\/trace-the-shamrock-coloring-page\/<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the <strong>Pot of Gold Art Project<\/strong>, you need (1) 5 different tempera paint with brush, (2) black and green construction paper, (3) scissors, (4) glue, (5) little paper plate, (6) bottle cork, and (7) black marker.    <br>Directions:   <br>1. Cut a half circle or pot out of black construction paper and glue on a sheet of green paper.    <br>2. Paint each finger a different color of tempera paint of your child\u2019s hand.   <br>3. Print your child\u2019s fingers above the pot.   <br>4. Drop yellow tempera paint on little paper plate and dip bottle cork tip in it.   <br>5. Print the bottle cork  tip many times for gold coins above the black pot and around the fingers print.  <br>6.
