(Blow kisses) &nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For the writing\/reading process,<\/strong> have your child trace or copy (advanced skill) <strong>daily<\/strong> his\/her name on paper\/dry eraser board\/ mini blackboard (kindergarten handwriting page) starting at the top of each letter (you could draw an emoji \ud83d\ude42) either in all uppercase letters or just first letter in capital\/uppercase and the rest in lowercase. If your child is starting to write on paper, you can write your child\u2019s name with a highlighter and your child can use a crayon to trace it. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I realize that you might have to survey other members of your family for the <strong>question of the day<\/strong> so that your child have enough tally marks to count or have your child put more than one tally mark. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>What do earthworms do?<\/strong>     <br><strong>DRIVE A CAR \ud83d\ude97\/ EAT COMPOST \/ HELP SOIL \/ WORK IN ZOO<\/strong><br><br><strong>Make Letter Z Shape:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" id=\"block-bbe74b9a-27d4-4d6e-9769-a063f997b193\"><li><strong>1 big line and 2 little lines for capital Z\/ 3 little lines for Lowercase z<\/strong>. Your child use a finger to trace the letter starting at the top, going straight across, going diagonally down, and straight across. In order to start learning letters, your child will need a <strong>set of big curves, little curves, big lines and little lines in wood.<\/strong> You can purchase them at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lwtears.com\">https:\/\/www.lwtears.com<\/a> or make them your self. You might want to add a picture of yarn, so that your child can say Yarn does not start with Z! Have you ever seen <strong>earthworms<\/strong> on the road after rain? Don\u2019t hesitate to do a nature journal entry! Have your child make a drawing that you can label and date. What eats earthworms? (Birds, fish when placed on a hook, &#8230;)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the tune of \u201cOh, my Darling Clementine\u201d, we can sing: <strong>what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather, what\u2019s the weather like today? Is it cloudy, is it rainy, is it sunny, is it cold?<\/strong> (You can also change the weather words).<br>Let your child check the weather and tell you about it. Brainstorm with your child what you know about earthworms. One major theme is <strong>Being Different<\/strong>. Brainstorm with your child the differences you see and how it is ok to be different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>an advanced activity<\/strong>, have your child fill in a simple <strong>story map<\/strong>. Take a sheet of paper and divide it into 3 equal size parts. Write \u201cBeginning\u201d, \u201cMiddle\u201d, and \u201cEnd\u201d and encourage your child to make a drawing about the beginning, the middle and the end of the story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wiggling Worms <strong>Song<\/strong> (\u201cRow, Row, Row Your Boat\u201d tune).  <br>Wiggling, wiggling, wiggling worms,     <br>Wiggling all around!  <br>Wiggling here, wiggling there.   <br>Wiggling in the ground.   <br>Crawling, crawling, crawling worms,&#8230;  <br>Digging, digging, digging worms,&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201dI\u2019m a Little Wiggle Worm\u201d <strong>Song<\/strong> (\u201cI\u2019m a Little Teapot\u201d tune).  <br>I am a little wiggle worm,   <br>Watch me go!    <br>I can wiggle fast.   <br>I can wiggle slow.   <br>I can wiggle all around.    <br>Then back, I go.   <br>Down into the ground,    <br>To the burrow I know!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Math<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have gummy or toy worms, encourage your child to <strong>measure<\/strong> worms using a ruler. Explain how a ruler works and have your child read you the length of worms!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Spring is in the air in March! The <strong>calendar<\/strong> is a <strong>daily<\/strong> activity to do with your child that develop number and pattern recognition. Here is the link to print a calendar to update daily with your child. The set has a weather component, if you like. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.themailbox.com\/magazines\/march-calendar-set\/march-calendar-set-4\">https:\/\/www.themailbox.com\/magazines\/march-calendar-set\/march-calendar-set-4<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Daily counting of <strong>tally marks<\/strong> and show your child a number card or write the number down to show your child. The numbers of the tallies will be different every day. Extend the concept by comparing numbers: <strong>which has more? Which has fewer? Which are the same?How many more (count with fingers)<\/strong>?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Art<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For the <strong>Inchworm Pipe Cleaner Art Project<\/strong>, you need (1) green pipe cleaner, (2) green pompom, (3) glue, (4) googly eyes, plastic beads\/Cheerios and wooden stick, optional.   <br>Directions:   <br>1. Curl one end of green pipe cleaner to glue green pompom on for worm\u2019s head. Your child can put googly eyes too.<br>2. Put beads on pipe cleaner and wrap around stick for worm\u2019s body.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For <strong>Worm Painting Art Project<\/strong>, you need (1) tempera paint, (2) paper, (3) little paper plates, and (4) strips of yarn.   <br>Directions:   <br>1. Pour different tempera paint on plates.  <br>2.
