Farm Week – Baby animals (Goat)

We take lots of walk in our neighborhood and many people have animals. We have a dog, 8 chickens and one rooster named Louis, and, of course, the classroom fish, Bingo. Jose, down the street, has chickens and goats. One of his doe was very pregnant and gave birth to 2 kids. We call human children kids too! Science – Engineering

Today, You and your child will build a goat with different material of your choice: (1) wooden blocks, (2) LEGO blocks, or (3) Empty paper towel roll, tongue depressor, pipe cleaner, paint (if you want). Have fun!

If you would like to send me a picture, I would love to see your goat!

If your child has a journal, print a picture or ask your child to draw a picture that you can date and label.

Language Arts

There is also an activity called a story in a bag to do. Help your child cut the different parts and ask your child to retell you the story with the cut-outs.

Math

Help your child to continue his/her April calendar pattern (found in Reptiles Week 3).

For this activity called Sorting Science Cards, you need (1) this print-out https://www.themailbox.com/magazines/science-cards-animals/animal-cards-7, (2) scissors. Help your child to cut all animals and sort them. On piece off paper, make columns with ways to sort animals: (1) Farm animals And others, (2) Farm animals, forest animals, and others, and (3) Farm animals, forest animals, insects and amphibians.

Art

For the art project, you will need: 1-3 toilet paper roll, (2) cotton balls, (3) 2-6 clothespins, (4) brown construction paper for ears, (5) googly eyes or stickers, (6) glue, and (7) scissors. Have you child cut ears and glue all the pieces together.
