Tigers are the biggest cats in the world. Brainstorm with your child the various species of cats you know! In the cat family, you have the domestic cat, tiger, lion, cheetah, lynx, puma, jaguar and leopard. Both the Sumatran and the Bengal tigers live in a rainforest habitat in Southeast Asia. After viewing the story, review with your child the characteristics of a tiger.

Then, have your child look at himself/herself in the mirror and talk about his/her characteristics: “I have two eyes, I have a nose, I have teeth….” and compare them to another person or an animal: “you have two eyes like me or like a lion.”
